Placement
Well it's about that time again to source out the coffee mug, wash an iron the black trousers and make the packed lunch. It's time to go back to school. I am looking forward to being back in the classroom after the nursery placement. Although I enjoyed parts of it, the thought of going back to the classroom is exciting me. As much as I am looking forward to it there is still that part of me that worries what class I might get. Hopefully I will be as lucky as I have been the past 2 years :)

Happy valentines day
Hope you all get spoilt today and treated :) I've had a few surprises and I am looking forward to seeing the woman in black tonight with the mister.. Not one for chick flicks so give me a horror movie any day :) hope it is as scary as it sounds.

Assessment
I found the lecture this morning on assessment very useful. It was great to see the different assessment techniques and a few new ones introduced. Although I'm still not sure about the travelling sticky... Might have to find out a bit more about that one :)

Back in the land of the living
Oh I feel it has taken me ages to shift this flu I had :( but I guess one of the perks of working with children is the germs you will pick up.. Oh well I gave plenty of time to build my immune system lol.
I finally feel like I can function properly now, after being one of these people who doesn't take being sick too well. At least it was a somewhat excuse to postpone more ed studies :( judging by what a lot of people are saying I'm not the only one finding it difficult to revise. Then theres the thought about our professional project... After thinking about it (while cooking the dinner and tidying the flat) I think I would find it interesting doing it about ICT and how children can be creative with it (obviously like the stuff we are doing in class). Hmmmmmmm... Maybe think about it some more over tonights dinner making...

Maths audit paper
Well I have had a stressful weekend of moving into my new flat but the good thing is my mum got to cone over from Belfast to help me. So today after leaving my mum back to the airport I decided to download the marts audit paper from My Place.
Now I would have said that maths was one of my strong subject but after having a quick look through the paper my mind has gone blank to most of the questions. Hopefully I will remember why I was good at maths again.. Wish me luck :)

Need to be more quiet....
In the library having a catch up with friends which was long overdue as we hadn't seen each other since placement began. (although I am glad it is over and we are back to normal). Back to this post then. So having a good chat and gossip session when someone shouts at us for talking too loud. Felt so embarrassed but I think I need to control this loud Irish accent maybe?? Oh well, it distracted us from ed studies a bit longer :)

What I learned this week....
This week one incident stands out against many as I learnt how to stop mice getting into my flat. I know this sounds bizzare but it was something that had to be done. Finding one mouse in the flat is bad enough but I drew the line when the seventh showed up. So carted with the debit card I set off to B&Q to get mouse traps. Now a few days on and the hole in the pipe leading into my flat bloacked off by the landlord, I feel comfortable enough to relax to get on with uni work. No longer is there an excuse not to do the weeks reading for uni, not that many tutors would accept that excuse.
So if anyone finds themselves in the same situation as me, feel free to contact me as their local mouse-buster.
